Fibre Ethernet Link

BACKGROUND - I Bought this as New Old Stock (NOS) in January 2018 to get the internet to my shack 300m away in a field. It worked faultlessly and I only decomissioned it when I downsized QTH in March 2022.

It has been dry-stored since then and, although dusty, still works 100%. It's incredibly robust both mechanically and in terms of RF/EMP resistance. Fit for the military so easily surpasses most amateur radio needs.

LINK INFORMATION - This is a Gigabit 'Ethernet-in-Ethernet-out' link as shown in 'scenario 2' of the TPLink Guide. Being optical there's no need to cut off excess fibre. You just leave it on the drum - the attenuation and pulse spreading is so tiny it makes no difference (unlike copper!!)

ITEMS INCLUDED IN SALE - All optical components are from this Fischer Catalogue. I purchased duplicates in case of failure. These spares were never needed are included, unused, in the sale:

• TPLink Media Converters x5- MC200CM's convert ethernet to/from optical.
• Mil spec fibre adaptor leads x4 - Fischer 'D' series to 'SC' connectors - connect media converter optical I/O's at each end of the fibre.
• Fischer tactical multimode fibre (500m on drum) x1 - 'D' series connectors at each end (no need to splice fibre)
• Standard RJ45 ethernet leads x2 - not CAT6

CONDITION - Everything works as it should and can be demonstrated on collection:

• Fibre & Drum - deployed only once, some dirt on outer as run partly outdoors, dusty from storage
• MC200CM Media Converters - 2 x new in box (inc DC PSU's + user guides), 3 x used (inc 3 x PSU's + 3 x user guides), no boxes
• Optical Adaptors - excellent working condition, 2 x used indoors only, 2 x new/unused

• REASON FOR SALE - since downsizing I no longer need a long optical ethernet link
